At the present time a vacancy exists for full-time Speech and Language Therapist/ Dysphagia specialist within the Division of Student Services for the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This position with include duties associated with serving birth to three, preschool, and students working with children who exhibit complex communication needs and/or swallowing and feeding problems throughout the county.
Experience in feeding, swallowing assessment and treatment for students required.
Qualifications:
- Must have valid Pennsylvania certification as Speech & Language Therapist
- Master's degree in Communicative Disorders required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred; Clinical Fellowship year considered
- Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required
- Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide clinical evaluation, consultation, intervention for students with feeding and swallowing and communication disorders for children and students from Birth to 21. Maintain all paperwork for a caseload of students with complex needs in a special education setting.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday ; 7.5 hours per day; 194 days per year
Salary:
Pro-rated: Instr. I Cert.-$50,589 to $82,500 ;Instr. II Cert.- $52,846 to $85,850; Master's Degree-$56,290 to $93,855; Masters + 30 - $60,090 - $99,385; (pro-rated) |
