At the present time, vacancy for a part-time Instructional Assistants exist within the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU. This position will work with at-risk Latino Middle and High School students in the Avon Grove and Oxford Area School Districts during the afterschool program. Program locations will be at the Garage Community and Youth Center in West Grove and at the Penns Grove Middle School in Oxford.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, required
- Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students, preferred
- Experience working with middle and high school students, preferred
- Computer and current technology knowledge required
- Must have Act 33 and 34 Clearances
- Must have Federal Criminal History record
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist with planning and implementation of afterschool and summer supplemental educational programs for at-risk Latino middle and high school students
2. Assist with regular communication with participating students’ parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators, as necessary
3. Assist with facilitation of the involvement of parents in the education of their children through translation/interpretation and dissemination of information
4. Assist with the planning and implementation of Parent Involvement activities within the 21st Century Community Learning Center program
Estimated work days and hours:
Afterschool programs will run at our Avon grove location from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday, during the school year.
Salary:
- $12.98 to $19.76 per hour
