At the present time, vacancies for two part-time Instructional Assistants exist within the 21^st Century Community Learning Center Summer Program, Student Services Division of the CCIU.  These positions will work with elementary English Language Learners in the Avon Grove District during the summer program.  Program location is the Technical College High School Pennock’s Bridge location in West Grove. 

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma, required
2. Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students, preferred
3. Experience working with middle and high school students, preferred
4. Computer and current technology knowledge required
5. Must have Act 33 and 34 Clearances
6. Must have Federal Criminal History record
7. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with planning and implementation of summer supplemental educational programs for at-risk Latino middle and high school students
2. Assist with regular communication with participating students’ parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators, as necessary
3. Assist with facilitation of the involvement of parents in the education of their children through translation/interpretation and dissemination of information
4. Assist with the planning and implementation of Parent Involvement activities within the 21^st Century Community Learning Center program

The 21^st CCLC summer program runs from June 26, 2017-August 3, 2017, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday – Thursday.

Starting Salary from June 26th through June 30th:

• 0-5 yrs experience=$12.98-$13.35
• 6-10 yrs experience= $13.54-$13.93
• 11-20 yrs experience= $14.13- $16.46
• 21-29 yrs experience= $16.78-$19.76
• * Bachelors degree is equivalent to 9 yrs experience on the scale= $13.72
• *Master's degree is equivalent to 15 yrs experience on the scale = $15.00

Starting Salary starting July 1st:

• 0-5 yrs experience=$13.26-$13.64
• 6-10 yrs experience= $13.83-$14.22
• 11-20 yrs experience= $14.42- $16.81
• 21-29 yrs experience= $17.13-$20.18
