The Chester County Intermediate Unit has a part-time vacancy for an Instructional Assistant at the Technical College High School - Pickering Campus in Phoenixville, PA. This position is up to 18.75 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required. 
• Associates degree or higher or completion of two years of post-secondary education or 48 credit hours from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Experience working with secondary students preferred. 
• Bilingual preferred.
• Current, within one year, police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Applicants will be responsible for assisting the implementation of basic skills in high school academics and the career and technical programs. Must have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team in an educational setting.

Salary Range:

Instructional Assisant pay scales based on years of experience relating to the role and/or education:

• 0-5 yrs experience=$13.26-$13.64
• 6-10 yrs experience= $13.83-$14.22
• 11-20 yrs experience= $14.42- $16.81
• 21-29 yrs experience= $17.13-$20.18
• *Bachelors degree is equivalent to 9 yrs experience on the scale= $14.01
• *Master's degree is equivalent to 15 yrs experience on the scale = $15.32

Up to 18.75 hours per week (.5 FTE).
