At the present time, we have vacancies for part-time and full time Instructional Assistants in our Student Services Division within the Chester County Intermediate Unit. These positions are located throughout the county.  An interview day will be held on Tuesday, October 3.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associates degree or higher or completion of two years of post-secondary education or 48 credit hours from an accredited college or university preferred
• Experience with special needs population is preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)     

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Applicants will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of educational programing and performing duties as directed by the educational consultant. Duties may include individual tutoring.

Salary Range:

The IA scale is broken down below for you to reference where you would come in. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

• 0-5 yrs experience=$13.26-$13.64
• 6-10 yrs experience= $13.83-$14.22
• 11-20 yrs experience= $14.42- $16.81
• 21-29 yrs experience= $17.13-$20.18
• * Bachelors degree is equivalent to 9 yrs experience on the scale= $14.01
• *Master's degree is equivalent to 15 yrs experience on the scale = $15.32

Schedule: 

• 6.5 hours per day Monday through Friday; 186 days per year
• 7.5 hours per day Monday through thursday; 176 days per year ( preschool stretch calendar)
