At the present time, vacancies for foreign language interpreter positions exist within the Student Services Division of the Chester County Intermediate Unit.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience
• High school diploma, required
• Native fluency in a language other than English, required
• Experience with educational interpretation, preferred
• Experience with Vietnamese and/or Spanish, preferred
• Original criminal history clearance, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprint clearance (dated within the year), clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)

Duties & Responsibilities:

CCIU foreign language interpreters will provide interpretation in educational settings such as IEP meetings, evaluations, in-home and classroom visits, disciplinary hearings, parent-teacher conferences, open houses, PSSA/Keystone Exams, etc.

Estimated work days and hours:

• Schedule will be as needed and on an on-call basis; 12 Months

 Salary:

• $22.06/hour to $27.57/hour
