At the present time, a vacanies exist for Early Childhood Education Adult Instructor within the Career, Technical, & Customized Education divion of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. The position will work with ECE practitioners as conference presenters. The next scheduled conference is February 19, 2018.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
- Experience working in Early Childhood Education with students Birth through age 5
- Experience working with School Aged students age 5 through 10
- Experience instructing adult learners, preferred
- Ability to create course materials and disseminate information on a related topic
- PAKeys PQAS number, preferred
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Position instructs Early Childhood Education practitioners in the field regarding various topics within the industry. Topics are set according to marketplace demands and need in partnership with the contracted organization. Topics include: Child growth and development; curriculum and learning experiences; family, school and community partnerships; assessment; communication; professionalism and leadership; health, safety and nutrition; and program organization and administration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adequately prepare course materials and lessons
- Provide engaging and relevant information and activities that demonstrate learning outcomes
- Challenge, engage, and communicate with students to encourage participation and learning
- Ensure learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the structured course overview
SALARY Hourly rate $29; hourly rate paid by length of course (usually 2 to 3 hours per course)
