At the present time, vacancies for Extended School Year (ESY) Lead Cook exists within the Division of Administrative Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Minimum of two years experience in institutional food service management.
- Experience with School Lunch Program, food service, food safety program, and Food Manager's Certification for Chester County Health Department preferred.
- Valid PA Driver's license
- Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, supervises and participates in the preparation and serving of quantity and quality food as per standardized recipes under the National School Lunch program.
- Food ordering for the cafeteria and Head Start program.
- Maintains accurate production records conforming to SLP/CACFP.
- Be familiar with a computerized point of sale (P.O.S.) as per School Lunch program guidelines, counts money, complete deposit slips and associated paperwork.
- Provide supervision of the kitchen and cafeteria worker(s).
- Perform inventory of food and supplies and USDA commodities.
- Responsible for filling a vending machine.
- Able to lift between 20 to 35 lbs; consistently on a daily basis and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
Schedule:
- Up to 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday
Salary:
$15.55 - $16.40
