At the present time, a vacancy for a staff accountant position exists within the Division of Administrative Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This position will provide accounting services for various Marketplace and grant programs as well as Chesconet and Chester County Tax Committee.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of two years in accounting or related position with actual experience in fund accounting and/or Not for Profit accounting
- Current (within one year) police, child abuse and FBI clearances required
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare Chesconet and Chester County Tax Commitee annual audit and budget.
- Assist with year-end audit journal entries and supporting schedules for the CCIU, TCHS and CCSA audit.
- Provide training to program directors in the financial analysis of all budget reports.
- Assist program directors with budget projections and any questions regarding allowable expenditures.
- Supervise the preparation and submission of all financial reports for each of the grant budgets to the appropriate funding agency.
- Maintain the accounting records for approximately 12 Marketplace and grant programs federally, state or locally funded budget totaling $25,624,428.
- Provide information for all local, state and federal auditors or program review teams, as requested.
- Serve as a member of the IDEA monitoring team.
- Provide training to new employees as well as new supervisors on the Business Office process and procedures.
Salary:
$61,693 to $77,117 (prorated accordingly); 7.5 hours a day; 260 days per year
