At the present time, a vacancy exists for an Educational Technology Programs Coordinator within the Innovative Educational Services Division at the Chester County Intermediate Unit.

 

Summary:

This position is directly responsible for the operation, administration, and supervision of project staff involved with educational technology services and support programs. This includes supervision of the development of training programs, research and development of new educational technology resources and strategies, online course development services, video production services, and alignment and integration of technology with all aspects of the curriculum, instruction, and assessment. This position will identify and develop new technologies, partnerships, programs and content to support the schools in their efforts to integrate technology into the classroom.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Educational Technology or related certificate
  • Minimum of five years experience in the area of educational technology
  • Ability to demonstrate competency in various areas of technology including multimedia development, video production, video conferencing, database development, web development, basic programming and distance learning technology
  • Experience in adult training/staff development
  • Proficiency in social media platforms
  • Experience with working as a member of a team with the ability to motivate others in engagement and performance
  • Excellent collaboration and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure

Essential Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop new and expand upon existing strategic partnerships between schools, community resources, business and industry, and higher education organizations.
  • Recruit, select, recommend, supervise, and evaluate technical and non-professional employees within the assigned program.
  • Provide leadership and promote innovation for enhancing teaching and learning through the identification, evaluation, and integration of educational technology into the curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
  • Develop and deliver professional learning opportunities to transform the teaching and learning culture in schools to enhance the level of engagement beyond the traditional teaching practices to both teachers and administrators.
  • Create, document, and publish content via social media to promote IES services.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in researching, testing, establishing partnerships, and evaluating new and emerging technologies, instructional theories, and innovative educational approaches.
  • Research, propose, and contribute to the development of grant proposals to foundations and other organizations to secure funding.
  • Collaborate with CCIU colleagues and other programs to expand the CCIU’s internal and external capacity to meet the need for increased achievement for all students.
  • Oversee the creation of online courses for internal and external customers.
  • Oversee the creation of newsletters and other electronic media such as flyers and websites.
  • Develop and implement new marketplace services in the areas of educational technology and innovation.
  • Perform other duties as identified or assigned by the Director of Educational Leadership Services.

Salary:
